Børns Vilkår is a Danish NGO dedicated to advocating for children's rights and well-being in Denmark. Founded in 1977, their primary mission is to ensure that every child in Denmark experiences a safe and secure upbringing, with at least one person who listens to them. Their work focuses on supporting this mission.

Their most significant initiative is "Børnetelefon," a 24/7 live support channel where children can talk or chat with an advisor about any topic on their mind, ranging from everyday frustrations to very sensitive issues. They engage in over 60,000 conversations with children each year. This extensive interaction gives them a unique perspective on how to best communicate with children and create a safe environment that provides the best possible support, regardless of the issues children are facing.

In conclusion, Børns Vilkår's expertise, especially through their Børnetelefon initiative, is a valuable but underutilised resource for child-facing professionals. By using GenAI technology to develop models based on their knowledge, we can significantly enhance the support provided to these professionals.

The expected outcomes include a fine-tuned GenAI model, a proof-of-concept application for funding, and a roadmap for wider software deployment. It's essential to address ethical considerations and limitations when working with sensitive topics involving children.
